2. SEMINAR: A map to the jungle of EU funding - Finding suitable calls

Dr. Lars Emrén, Research Support Office, Stockholm University

27 September 2018; 10:00 - 11:00

The diversity of funding instruments in the EU funding landscape is described as "a jungle" by many researchers. It may be difficult to identify which type of funding that fits you. This seminar is intended to help you to navigate in the EU funding landscape. We will draw a map of the ”jungle” in the perspective of frequently asked questions. Both Horizon 2020 and other types of EU funding will be covered. We will tell you about our support if you plan to be a partner or coordinate an EU proposal.

Dr. Séan MacCarthy, Hyperion Ltd

“Impact” is a key evaluation criterion in European research proposals. But what does the term really stand for? This workshop explains the concept of impact and provides researchers with guidelines on what to consider when writing about the impact of a Horizon 2020 proposal. The workshop will be of value for researchers interested in participating in Horizon 2020 activities. Impact has also become more important in national research funding.
