By systematically seeking student feedback, Robert strives to develop his courses. He allows students to work with real, research-related tasks already in their first year of study and succeeds in creating commitment, enthusiasm and self-confidence among the students. The students appreciate him because he creates a safe learning environment with a high degree of so-called peer-learning, where students work in a group of structured tasks. This makes them more inclined to share if they do not understand and feel safe to communicate what support they need. Roberts pedagogical work has also inspired colleagues and contributed to important educational discussions at the department.
